- Absence from scheduled examinations requires a doctors
written medical excuse if consideration is to be given for an alternate
examination, i.e, the note must state specifically
that the student was too ill to attend class on that day.
Doctors notes will be confirmed through the college doctors
office. Langara Health Service will not issue medical excuses.
- If you miss more than one major exam due to sickness
you will be advised to take a medical withdrawal.
- A passing grade for the laboratory
portion is essential to obtain credit for this course. In
order to pass the laboratory portion of the course, the average of the
two lab exams must be 50% or above.
- Please note that the second lab mark WILL NOT be given
out until AFTER the final withdrawl date due to departmental restrictions.
There are no exceptions made to this rule.
- In order to register for Biol 1216, you must have at
least a C- grade in Biology 1116. Check the calendar for specific second
year course prerequisites at Langara College.
- Students can re-register for the same biology course
only once, i.e. you only have two chances.
