Exploring the life of the cell All organisms are either made up of many cells, or individual cells. Thus, the cell is the basic unit of biology. Only by studying the structure and function of cells can we learn more about how life works. Our understanding of cell structure and function has advanced tremendously recently. Cell biology is a very exciting multidisciplinary science. A solid understanding of cells and their properties is fundamental to a proper appreciation of all other aspects of biology (3 credits). Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1215 with a minimum "C+" grade, or permission from the instructor. Transferability: At SFU, Biol 2415 alone transfers as SFU MBB 1st (3 credits). Lang Biol 2315 and 2415 together tranfer as SFU MBB 231 ( 3 credits) and SFU MBB 222 (3 credits). At UBC, Lang Biol 2415 tranfers as UBC Biol 200 (3 credits). Instructor: Dr. Mário Moniz de Sá
Lab Demo: Jay Catterson
