Course Descriptions

In order to supplement the information provided in the College Calendar, we have provided links to more detailed information about our courses in Mathematics and Statistics.
The individual course descriptions can be accessed either by course number or by subject area.

The detailed description of each course has two main parts: general information about the audience and objectives of the course, and an outline of the main topics to be covered in the course.

"Audience" refers to the type of student who generally takes the course. It does not preclude others from taking the course if they have the necessary prerequisites.

"Objectives" refers to the expectations of the student's performance in the course, and to the expectations of the actual instruction in the course.

Unless otherwise specified, all courses meet for four hours per week for fourteen weeks and carry 3 units of credit.
