Inside Higher Ed Survey

A few interesting posts following the release of  two 2011 Inside Higher Ed Surveys

Library Journal and ACRL posts bring up some interesting commentary and also note that:

“Two surveys conducted by Inside Higher Ed found that college and university chief academic officers/provosts and presidents alike consider library technology to be their most effective technological investment” – Library Journal

I agree with a comment on the post. These reports include information on some of the issues that were of highest concern for those leading academic institutions and are worth reading from the perspective of looking at how libraries can contribute in addressing these concerns. This will be part of our focus for our long term Visioning exercise.

ACRL Value of Academic Libraries site includes links to their 2011 report as well.
