Langara Library is proud to join Emergency Info BC in their efforts to prepare for a zombie apocalypse. We have a wider range of zombie literature than most academic libraries – and 99% more than the Harvard Business School.
According to Braaaiiinnnsss! : from academics to zombies, libraries will be the last standing bastions of information during a zombie attack. Therefore, we must protect our resources at all costs. All non-zombie employees will be expected to report to the Library at the first sign of the apocalypse to man battle stations. Luckily, food and drinks are now allowed in the Library so we need not fear starvation.
As we wait for the zombies to arrive (they’re slow), we can scientifically research them through such books as Zombies A-Z, Zombies are us : essays on the humanity of the walking dead, and Generation zombie : essays on the living dead in modern culture.
Finally, while we’re barricaded on the Library’s 3rd floor, we can amuse ourselves by watching Night of the living the dead, 28 days later (for survival tactics), and the classic fave White zombie.
